With a new location and new dates for this year, Europe’s leading event for architectural, retail and commercial lighting, The Arc Show, continues to provide inspiration, innovation and specialist solutions for the trade. As well as the usual range of industry-leading exhibitors, educational technical seminars and the SLL Young Lighter of the Year competition, there are a host of new features for 2011.
New for this year is the Lighting Controls Demonstration, run by the Lighting Association and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) Enlighten Europe Conference, featuring discussions and lectures from the global lighting industry’s leading experts.

We envisioned a place for storytelling and play, for fantasy and travel with the mind, for children and adults alike, says Kasper Medin och Ulrika E. Engberg, designers at Little red stuga.

The challenge was to create something new and interesting around the beanbag concept, one of the world’s most appreciated and functional pieces of furniture ever designed. Were delighted to have Noel contributing to GGW. Alot of you are most likely familiar with his name. He has written several books; I have more than a few of them on my bookshelf. As well as being a prolific writer, Noel is a lecturer on plants and gardens. He has been in the nursery business as well as doing garden design. Mostly known for his promotion of naturalistic and wild-style planting design, his gardening interests are wide-ranging, global and eclectic. The Kontur Vase is a unique item, silicone made, which provides a new approach for combining a flower vase and a small storage container for holding various items such as pencils or cotton sticks. This stylish vase is a flexible item, not only because it’s made out of silicone but also because it serves as an alternative to ceramics – giving the vase a soft touch while keeping its unique characteristics in place.
