Thanks to their simplicity, the home theater in a box (HTIB) has become a popular addition to the TV cabinet in many households. Looking to simplify things even further, California-based company in2technologies has unveiled its aptly named Unity Home Theater System at CES 2012 that unifies a HTIB with a TV stand. So instead of a tangle of cables snaking their way from the back of a TV stand to the TV, the Unity cleans things up with a single HDMI 1.4a cable.
To be marketed under in2technologies’ Engage brand, the Unity features a pedestal design which the company has dubbed the “tShape” – although, if you want to be picky it’s actually more of a H on it’s side shape, but that’s probably not quite as catchy.

How long have you been with Design Public? Since 2007
Where do you live? Who else lives there? I live in a former WWII submarine repair factory that has been converted to very raw live/work lofts. I live with my husband and dog Oslo.
Whats your place like? How would you define your style? Our space is a photography studio loft where we also live/work. We have 30 foot ceilings (concrete ceilings = not so great for earthquake preparedness!) and two walls of windows so lots of great natural light but without too nice a view.
If you’re a gardening enthusiast, the long winter months can seem to drag on forever. But they don’t have to! You can enjoy plants year-round with a window greenhouse of your own. Most gardeners need to wait until after the final frost to start gardening (and let’s face it; nobody knows for certain which frost will actually be the last). Having a window greenhouse allows you to plant vegetables, flowers, herbs, and other plants throughout the year. It’s Easier than You May Think
If all gardeners knew just how easy it is to get started with greenhouse gardening, everyone would be doing it! Window greenhouse gardening, in particular, is an affordable way to get started. A windo

Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), the British loudspeaker company responsible for the legendary Zeppelin iPod dock and subsequent Zeppelin Air, released its first Mini Theater systems based around the company’s M-1 loudspeaker six years ago. The company has now upgraded the M-1 with a new ultra compact unit that pairs with a new PV1D subwoofer or ASW608 subwoofer for the company’s new Mini Theater systems.
Like the outgoing M-1, the new M-1 serves duty delivering all five (left, right, center and two surround) channels in a 5.1 surround set up. But B&W says the new unit offers improved full range performance to also deliver stereo performance comparable to larger bookshelf speakers.
